What if I am a vegetarian or have food allergies?
Just let us know your dietary restrictions when you buy your ticket and we’ll do our best to accommodate. There are vegetarian options available, however, gluten-free and more complex restrictions should contact firstname.lastname@example.org before purchasing a ticket. However, if you are on a diet—the bikini diet, the detox diet, etc.—we ask you to put that aside for the tour. We would hate for anyone to miss out on the delicious food!
I have read a lot about the dangers of “street food”. Will we be eating it?
You’re in Thailand and street food is part of the local culture. Any street food served on the tour has been vetted to save you a trip to the local pharmacy. A good bet is if you see a lot of Thai people eating at a location, the food is safe. Thai culture celebrates sharing food and we can’t wait to share the experience with you!
Should I plan to eat before the tour?
We advise you not to eat before the tour. You will experience multiple tastings and we find the majority of our participants are quite full by the end of the tour.
What should I wear?
Thailand’s weather can change in an instant. We recommend shorts and light shirt as well as comfortable walking shoes. Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are never a bad idea… nor an umbrella and sense of adventure in case the clouds break.
Where does the tour begin and end?
Meeting points are described in the details section of each tour. During the tour, you will receive a map to help orient you throughout the journey. At the end of the tour we will gladly provide instructions in returning to the starting point or getting anywhere else you need in Bangkok.
Where time does the tour start?
We start promptly at 10a.m. on the morning of your tour. Participants arriving late, need to contact us immediately at +66 (0)91.571.7701. While we try our best to accommodate late arrivals, those arriving more than 10 minutes late or after we have moved from our initial meeting spot may be considered no-shows.
How far will I have to walk?
The route covers a total of two kilometers, with many stops for tastings and commentary along the way. The tour is suitable for all levels of endurance.
What is the age range of participants?
Our tours are designed to allow any age group to participate comfortably. We will walk approximately two kilometers in total on flat surfaces.
I have kids! Are the tours suitable for children? Toddlers?
Children are more than welcome on our tour. We offer a reduced rate for children 5 – 13 y/o. For unpaid children under 5, participants MUST notify us in advance of attending the tour. Many of the places we visit are very cramped as such we must limit the number of unpaid children and strollers on our tours.
Wheelchairs or strollers are allowed on the tour?
Bangkok is not a wheelchair friendly city and many of the locations we visit have small stair cases. As such wheelchairs are not advisable for our tour. Attendees planning to bring a stroller MUST notify us in advance.
Can I shop during the tour?
Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we restrict shopping during the tour to only one location. We will deliver a participant sheet with all local tastings listed so you can return to any location at the end of the tour.
How many people will be on each tour?
We believe that intimate groups provide the best cultural experience. Our tour has a maximum of 10 people.
Do you arrange private tours for groups?
Absolutely, please contact email@example.com
Do I have to purchase tickets online and in advance?
Yes. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance as possible as seats are limited and sales close at 10p.m. the night before each tour. Tickets may only be purchased through our our secure online payment platform, which accepts all major credit cards and Paypal. All data transfers are encrypted and we have put several anti-fraud measures in place to ensure online retailers and third parties cannot access any credit card information or other sensitive data.
Are there any discounts available?
We do offer discounts for groups of eight participants or more. If you are a travel agency or are organizing a big group tour, please firstname.lastname@example.org for special rates.
Are gratuities expected or included in the tour price?
Gratuities are welcome, but only in response to our ability to exceed your expectations. 100% of any gratuities are retained by our local guides.
