Tour guides are the heart of our food tour business and Taste of Thailand team love to give them a little love in our special Guide Spotlight blog series. Today’s blog we will introduce you to Khun Katy.  

Where are you from originally?

Chiang Rai- it is a city in Northern Thailand. It has a lot of tourist attractions as well.

How long have you been a guide?

It’s been 3 years already!

What do you like most about your job?

I love to meet people from different countries. I love to share Thai culture with them. I feel really happy when they listen to amazing stories of my country, Thailand. I am always glad to share many positive things to our beloved foodie visitors.

What is your favorite Thai food?

I love to eat vegetable dishes. And yeah, chili sauce!

What is your favorite place in Bangkok?

Chinatown (Yaowarat). We run a food tour their as well (smile).

What do you like to do in your free time?

Traveling and visiting some public parks in Bangkok. I also love to cook Thai dishes.

Three things you couldn’t live without?  

Friends, my  cell phone and of course, money!

If you could travel anywhere in the world to try the food, where would you go?  Why?

Vietnam! Because they use a lot of vegetables in their dishes. As you know- I love to eat vegetables!
